From London, With Love

We made it! After a gruelling day of travel where our 8 AM flight was delayed 9 hours only to leave at 5 PM, giving us an unexpected night-time flight with a toddler who is averse to sleep except in the best of conditions, we survived!
We got into London early in the morning and headed to our temporary housing that Ben's company set up for us. It's in a neighborhood on the north-side of London, not exactly where we plan to be living, but close enough. (writer's note- I switched my computer to UK and it's giving me a spelling error for 'neighborhood', so we'll see how long I can tolerate that before I start switching to British spellings).
The first day we took it easy and walked over to a local coffee shop and picked up some groceries. (Side-note on the groceries, I can't believe they don't refrigerate the eggs!) I also checked out John Lewis (feels similar to a Nordstrom) because I need a higher thread count sheet than what we were working with in corporate housing. I know, I'm high-maintenance, sue me.
Day 2 (today), we went to walk through what will hopefully be our apartment once we get the lease signed, which is in Belsize Park. We walked around the neighborhood, visited a farmer's market, and walked to check out Graham's school he'll be starting in the fall.
We took the tube to go out to dinner in Belsize park, where Graham has declared we've found the best pizza in the world (except for Grandma's). A group of Brits asked me to take a photo of them, and Graham tried to join, truly baffled as to why this group of strangers wouldn't want him in their photo. So far, Graham is enthralled with everything and has been keeping his 'observations' in a journal. He told the concierge at our new apartment that he is expecting a LOT of mail because everyone he knows is going to be his pen pal, so get to writing, people!
That's all for today, hope you enjoy following along on our journey!
